With the birth of our second child, God and my husband have given me the wonderful opportunity to stay at home with my girls. Giving up a whole other income is definitely challenging but well worth it to enjoy these days with my "lil' blessings." When my first daughter was born I started making hair bows for her and selling them here and there. Over the past few years I've rekindled a passion I've always had for crafty things. In doing so, I decided that passion might be able to supplement our income while still allowing me to be with my girls. So, as I make new items I will post them along with prices (if shipping is needed, there is an additional charge based on current shipping rates). If you find something you'd like to purchase, have custom requests, questions, or comments about items just e-mail me at lilblessings1@windstream.net.

I look forward to hearing from you and making things for your Lil' Blessing!

Hosting a Wedding Shower

Another love of mine...planning and hosting parties! I have helped with a few weddings, planned and hosted parties at work, and love every bit of it. From the planning to the decorating to the hosting, I just really enjoy it. I coordinated a shower for my brother-in-law and fiance this weekend. I thought it turned out nice. We served finger foods as well as desserts that included another one of my fondant cake creations, a strawberry cake topped with chocolate fudge icing and fresh strawberries, and my favorite-a chocolate fountain! Need help coordinating a special event, let me know!

Gift sets

A friend and co-worker of mine recently purchased some gifts for upcoming baby showers. She requested two sets of diaper wipe cases and matching burp cloths, one for a baby girl and another for a baby boy. I thought these fabrics were adorable and I hope the mommies-to-be agreed! I finished the gifts off by tying coordinating ribbon around the set.
$17 for matching gift set.

Latest creation...CAKES!

Here's what I've been up to today. I made a two-tiered fondant cake as a practice run for a wedding shower next week. If you need a cake for a special occasion of your own, let me know!
